Agree. But there’s a backlog because there’s no investment in investigating rapes, because there’s no investment in prosecuting it, because those cases can rarely be won. Even when they are won, they’re a mess, the wins are minuscule (probation, suspended sentences) and they put the prosecutor’s office under a microscope.

There’s no point in reporting rapes. I would encourage anyone not to report. It’s not “the right thing to do,” not in today’s Society. It’s a self-destructive thing that ruins victims’ lives for no reason.
