Agree. The science says clearly that weight is a poor indictator of health. In fact, the science says that being very overweight is no more dangerous than being very underweight. In both cases, the key is balance, getting what movement and eating as healthfully as you can for your body and your situation, and then ignoring the numbers and just trying to live your life.

The studies that say otherwise generally fuzzy up the numbers or are funded by weight loss companies, or both.

Yet it's become "common knowledge" that being overweight is bad for you..

like it's common knowledge that women are immoral and slutty, for example?
