Bullies want their victims to sit there and ponder what we might have done to deserve their treatment. They want us to turn our legitimate rage against ourselves. They don't want to be held accountable. They don't want us to get angry at them. They don't want us to tell other people how they've behaved. They don't want us to explain their psychological issues to them, to mirror their own drama and trauma in a way they won't be able to avoid seeing. That's what they're so afraid of. That's the power that our anger has.

Bullies need no excuse except kindness and the possibility of getting away with it.
