But many/most of us exist somewhere in between. The percentage of people who are homeless and disabled is huge. The percentage of people who are homeless and vets is also sizable, in large part because of the crap care these categories of people receive.
Pretending that people can or should be able to bootstrap it up is nonsense. It’s irresponsible. It ignores the lived reality of the majority. That’s already been proven statistically.
You’re ignoring that because it’s not your personal experience (because no, your PTSD is not post-military PTSD).
It’s disrespectful.
