Completely agree with you about this storyline. The series implied that Asperger’s is some sort of illness that can be corrected by the right kind of therapy. After a year, Max was suddenly “fixed” and could return to mainstream school..even though he clearly still had behaviors that made school uncomfortable for him and for other students.

The series was inconsistent and pretty bad. They got credit for depicting Asperger’s at all but didn’t do a very good job.
