Feels like men expect absolutely everything from us. We’re supposed to be cute, and sexy, but not too sexy because that’s gauche, but not too chaste because that’s boring, but not too interesting because he might feel intimidated..honestly, I’d much rather just stay home.

What’s changed in dating? Men used to call the shots and have most of the control. Women used to compete with one another to “get” a man and blame themselves if men treated them badly. Now women have expectations, but men by and large aren’t really listening to what they are.. and men still want and expect all the same old things, without considering whether women still want to give those things.

It’s a mess but there’s no going back.
