First of all, this is completely true. As someone who has mostly tried to date in the Jewish community, who is white-presenting but mixed-race, it's the same.

White men idolize white women. They idealize me as long as I present as white, but once they spend more time with me and my "flaws" i.e. my marginalized identities come through--my disability, my mixed race identity and the rage towards whiteness that comes with it, my chronic illness, my fatness--they fetishize me.

In general, white men treat the most privileged women like amazing technicolor dreamgirls, and treat the rest of us like demons to try to exploit.

It's disgusting.
