I actually don’t think you are missing my point, no. You just reiterated my point perfectly well here.

Really what you’re asking for is empathy. You think if you frame your response in just the right way, my feminine nurture instinct will kick in and I’ll take care of your hurt feelings.

That’s not going to happen.

Clearly you need somewhere to talk about this. Here is not the place.

Heck, you even do need empathy. But it is not appropriate for you to expect that empathy from me, not to mention trying to discipline my response with misplaced scorn when you don’t get your way.
