I agree. I think that would be a much more interesting conversation. That’s something I have contended with myself. I learned the language of racism then applied it to my family and my life.
I think that would be a more useful conversation for people of Color.
But maybe that’s the difference between speaking to white people vs to POC? Her archetypes podcast (she means stereotypes) goes much more in depth into her relationship with race.
But I do see the ignorance that many of us who are elevated by privilege out of some realities of racial discrimination face. The feeling that we’ve personally discovered race and racism as meaningful topics of discussion. Ignoring the conversation happening all around us that we’ve just been privileged to choose not to engage in.
