I agree that we're made to feel as though we're 'damaging' people by telling them the truth.

However--I don't think it's right or fair to force survivors to pay for our own healing.

I actually think our communities outsource the necessary emotional labor of our healing to these 'trained professionals', who often are bad at their jobs, manipulative, uncomfortable with the details, or incompetent.

Our communities should be held accountable for collaborating with our abusers and often protecting our abusers, then silencing us by shaming us for what was never our fault.
