I appreciate your perspective. But this also seems very glib. I’d like to push back on the idea that Americans are all prudes. We’re allowed our religious ideals. We’re allowed to not feel comfortable getting naked with each other, especially when many of us statistically are sexual violence survivors.
It’s not like your European ethic of nudity has done squat to prevent sexual violence or domestic violence or child abuse. Historically, your societal abuses infiltrated our world, not vice versa.
You may believe repression is the root of all evil but Freud has been resoundingly discounted.
