I can’t see the original comment, so I mean..sure? Dunno why you seem to be arguing that it’s unusual or cutting edge to portray good or aspirational white men. You can find a heroic or redemptive white man in just about every tv show you can name.
Portraying a sympathetic white man as the lead or co-lead is the norm.
It’s freaking boring.
It’s all of Western literary tradition, practically.
The rest of us have stories too.
