I definitely hear you on the idea that class anxieties make white people way more dependent on the imaginary difference between them and people of color.

I find that white people born into wealth have a different kind of fragility. They have a need to believe their success is due to their skills and savvy, not their birth. Which creates a different kind of fragility.

I grew up in rich white people land but was not one of them.

It was an education.
