I definitely think we all make big mistakes and sometimes need to ask forgiveness. And I believe that we all sometimes act incredibly foolish within romantic relationships and are entitled to some degree of compassion.

I think that men get away with hugely inappropriate, gigantically abusive behavior in relationships pretty often. The rules are different for men and women. Men are allowed to be passionate, seductive, romantic..and women are supposed to be obedient, at all times.
