I feel like I’m seeing more men who confuse their identities as bisexual/queer, with being a feminist who actively fights sexism.
I won’t question their identities. They have every right to be themselves.
However, it’s important for everyone to be on the same page about the fact that embracing one’s “feminine side” is not the same as developing a feminist perspective or challenging sexist oppression of women.
We have to figure out how to hold fellow queers accountable and insist on anti oppression frameworks, without excluding others from queer community on the basis of “not being xyz enough.”
