I grew up in a conservative religious environment. The men around me ogled my body from the time I was 9 or 10 years old. When they behaved inappropriately, my parents and my community blamed me. I spent years believing I was disgusting because of the sexualized abuse others heaped on me. Teach girls to respect themselves, not tear themselves to shreds because other people don't know how to behave respectfully.
