I have an auto immune disease and my place of employment literally chose to pay me half a year of wages rather than arrange a flexible work schedule that would meet their legal obligations to accommodate my disability.
Rather than work with an employee who was medically incapable of showing up every day, they paid out my entire contract and wound up without anyone to run an entire building.
