I hope it goes away! What is up with this? Women don't naturally smell like roses! Our eyebrows don't look like that. I agree with you upon reflection that there is a sort of maternal comfort associated with it. It keeps the world in order, for men--it makes the home pretty, in the way they rely on women to make it pretty. But it's unnatural. And it's creepy. And it's why men leave when women get sick. The world isn't pretty like that. And for those of us with severe trauma, who deal with mental illness, or disability, we're not pretty like that and we never will be.
