I kinda wish she’d owned it more, made it part of her brand like J.Lo has. She was totally right about Knocked Up being sexist and everyone knows it. She should have penned an editorial and argued the point. Her publicist did her wrong by telling her to distance herself from what she really thought. If she couldn’t play politics, and not everyone can, she should have had the guts to be herself and live in indie spaces rather than trying to be mainstream.
I think she would have been much happier.
