I mean, I for sure sometimes misgender folks because of my brain injury. I explain it to them. They don't always entirely hear me. Which is always a disappointing oppression-meets-oppression moment.

BUT to answer your main points--I mean, c'mon. People can at least try. People can ask questions. People can try to understand, or at least empathize.
