I really appreciate a lot of this article. The language is so beautiful--learning how to survive in the wreck.

However, I do want to point out the ableist roots of the phrase "touch grass." As a chronically ill person with autism, my communities are often told to "touch grass" as an insult, to silence us when we are speaking up about ableism.

At the same time, as someone with mobility and access struggles, being told to go outside, specifically being directed to walk outside, feels dismissive to those of us for whom any movement is agonizing, who cannot enjoy the trees the way we once did.
