I really appreciate this article and I found several of these tips useful. That said, I want to point out one additional issue, which is that social status is real and is rarely only or even primarily a consequence of personal achievement. For example, I am much more prone to jealousy when I have or am considering partners who have only ever dated thin women. In this case, my jealousy is not rooted in insecurity, it is rooted in awareness of oppression and the resulting unjust social distinctions.

In these cases, my jealousy hides my rage. But that rage is not socially acceptable, so it translates into jealousy.
