I really appreciate what you said here about some people being more attractive to predators because we seem more vulnerable or appealing specifically since we seem like easy prey. I've seen that predatory gleam in the eyes of soooo many men. I'm disabled and chronically ill, and that makes me physically vulnerable. I'm plus size and have struggled professionally due to my health and my neurodivergence, and all of that leads to low social status--which makes the buzzards circle. That doesn't mean that I lack the ability to set boundaries or to defend myself. I actually think I have much better boundaries than many women I encounter. However, I deal with much more aggression from others, both women and men, in all forms of relationships, than most people do. I have learned that I am better off alone for safety's sake.
