I really want to love the men in my life. It’s just so hard when it feels like nothing I say or do will penetrate their “story” about what makes them lovable or not, what makes them attractive or not, or what is going to bring another person close or drive them away.

I feel like I have to teach them how to be loved but I’m still learning myself. And when I need help, too, where do I turn?
