I respect Rowling for her public advocacy on behalf of the rights of DV victims. Those victims include men and queer people.
Rowling is not in this article because she is an “example of someone who has always enjoyed safety.” She is in this article because she has spent the past years making herself a public figure against trans rights and insisting that is a rights-based perspective not an offensive one.
