I respect your opinion as always, Patsy, but I would encourage you to imagine the experience of being a much more visible “target,” a woman in a wheelchair or a woman in chronic pain or a Black woman who is targeted with violence much more often and relentlessly than you are likely to be.
I know you intend to elevate the voices of marginalized women like mine—and I hope you recognize why our experiences might be much different than yours.
The violence is being directed at us so you can be safe.
