I think that's all everyone really wants.

But the other thing that y'all are getting is the pain that we all have been feeling, THE PAIN YOU ALL HAVE BEEN MAKING US FEEL, for the past millenia.

The directive to sit down and shut up?

The double bind?

Sounds pretty freaking familiar.

The difference is, for us, the punishment for getting it wrong was death.

The punishment for y'all for getting it wrong now is being socially shamed.

It's not nearly the same degree of pain.

So I get that it sucks.

But I have no capacity to feel sorry for you.

I have no capacity to help you out.

I don't care how bad it is for you.

Even if we literally staged an armed rebellion, you still wouldn't begin to have the slightest clue how bad it has been for us this entire time.
