I think the entire idea of the "victim mentality" is so interesting. Like, clearly the solution to being victimized by rape or domestic abuse or systemic racism or poverty is to try harder and toughen up.

It's amazing how full of advice people are about experiences they've never had and hardships they'll never personally have to face.
