I think there is a basic “you owe the previous generation” mentality about capitalism. The idea that we’re obligated to take care of their anxiety, their physical or emotional needs through our typically low paid undervalued labor, their well-being in their old age.
I feel like I’m finally experiencing my teen rebellion! That shit is powerful.
