Ethnic foods cost more when they’re harder to find, yeah, and this can be a college town—jacked up prices, lower quality food if certain places think they can get away with it. There’s good stuff around though.
It’s less expensive to live here but not that much less! Still a city. My rent is $1500 including parking, Wi-Fi etc. I wanted a studio, near campus.
I think students are underpaid for our work while in universities given how much departments depend on us.
It’s just the system.
