I’m not worried about judging people based on disgust. I’ve felt disgust over someone’s contempt for me or for femininity, or how they’ve behaved when they felt wounded, and ignored it. I’ve made excuses. And I’ve regretted it.
I am worried though about conflating personal choice with prejudice. Is it permissible, for example, for men to refuse to date fat people, or white people to only date white people, but cite the ick?
