I'm reminded of the increasing number of incidents of police and CPS taking children away from loving POC parents because the parents are in poverty, or don't choose Western medical care, or because their kid is fat, etc.

Meanwhile if you're a rich white kid, speaking from personal experience, you could have the most obvious signs of abuse ever and no one will ever notice or intervene.
