I’m sorry to hear about your experience but you’re excluding a variety of factors.
Many people, particularly women, have diseases that cause weight gain.
PCOS, autoimmune diseases like mine, chronic fatigue etc.
Are we, as disabled people, deserve love and affection too.
The idea that only healthy people deserve love is ableist.
The idea that thinness or physical fitness is the best indicator of health is nonsense.
Women report wanting emotional health in men for a reason: because it matters to us.
It seems to me that you had an unhealthy attitude towards your body when you were fat. That’s probably why you didn’t get attention.
I can say that I’ve never gotten as much attention as I have recently, after embracing my sexuality and my own identity. My body type has not changed at all.
There will always be men who want women whose bodies evince high social status. But I don’t want those men.
