Is it weird that this has been the norm of my professional experience, not the exception? I’m definitely working on my own psychology to figure out why I keep accepting emotionally abusive situations into my life.
That being said, each of these work cultures only devolved from here. The workhorses who were less sensitive and less skilled did ok but the rest of us became increasingly unbalanced. Talent and good ideas had nowhere to go and no good idea of how to get there.
I would have been better off quitting.
