It’s the number of poly relationships that are driving me bonkers.
The first poly relationship I ever encountered was a man who had a kind and loyal but sexually uninteresting woman at home who pursued additional hookups outside.
I’m not saying every poly situation is like this.
I’m just saying that a lot of women seem to be tolerating this exact thing. They know they couldn’t convince a certain type of man to stay with them, maybe they doubt they could convince any man to stay at all, so they opt to stick with a guy who basically cheats on them publicly.
The guy gets to have his cake and eat it too—all the excitement of new romances but also the loyalty and commitment of a woman who won’t ever leave because she’ll never have the self-esteem to leave no matter how badly he treats her.
