It’s the punishment that’s so hard to explain to people.
The fact that they don’t express emotions-they display whatever expression they think will get them what they want. They perform. They reward or they punish. Pleasure is a gift, not a free offering. Because nothing is free.
The relationship is polluted because they are, and they don’t know it so they can’t fix it.
