I’ve experienced this shit from men in my own Jewish community who want women who are blonder, thinner, and more assimilated than me, but will still pursue me. It is very painful and it is completely insane behavior. The gist is that they would never take me seriously as a potential wife, but they’re happy to pretend in hopes I’ll sleep with them in gratitude for the attention.
