I've found that certain forms of alternative healing, like sound bowls, yoga, reiki, massage, herbalism, things like that, can help a lot. Early childhood healing and caring for my inner child helps too.

The key is letting go of the idea of ever being who we would have been if the trauma hadn't happened. Instead, we need to allow the process of healing to change our lives and give us room to grow up, now.
