Just want to point out that being sexually abused for years by one’s father is not a remotely equivalent trauma to seeing your mother proposition somebody.

I’m a survivor. I would love to see a film about a survivor who overcomes. But seeing a film about a survivor whose pain cannot be easily dismissed or magically healed? Next best thing.
