Loyalty goes right along with toxic positivity, right? We demand women be loyal to an ideal that often is not matched by the reality of the partner they are dating. We demand that men be loyal to a fantasy of female chastity or submissiveness that no woman will ever really live up to, and take out the consequences on us if and when we “fail.”
