Men expect women to embody an impossible image of supposed perfection. We’re supposed to wear makeup, because obviously, but we’re not supposed to let men know we’re wearing makeup. We’re supposed to let men think we just roll out of bed and put on the first thing near us, but we are also supposed to look cute and composed all the time.

We’re supposed to be fun and easy, but not, you know, easy.

It’s exhausting. There’s no way to get it right. And the fact that men sit around convincing themselves women are hopeless liars because we wear makeup is laugh out loud ridiculous.
