Men seem to convince themselves that the women they love will never be harmed, because only “bad women” ever get raped or murdered.
I guess it’s easier to blame the victim than face the reality that the only thing that differentiates victims from every other woman is one bad day, one mistaken act of trust, one marginalized identity that makes her vulnerable.
