Not really. People tend to actually think similarly. Joking about disability? Bad. Jokes about a bad perm? Passable. Jokes about someone's shitty politics? Acceptable. See the difference? You get to joke about things someone has the ability to change. You do not get to joke about things someone is suffering from that they have no control over. We actually all basically know that. Then we argue otherwise because it's convenient.
