Oh completely. We're not supposed to be human beings who believe we deserve access to affection, boundaries, emotional containment, joy, anger etc. When we do act this way, men don't just leave--they get extremely angry. We're breaking out of the bounds they have set for us. We're supposed to be ashamed for believing we deserve more than whatever social status men have assigned us.
