Oh dear.
Mine was something like “work your butt off to be smart but not intimidating then get into a top college-but wait! You’re a girl so your parents won’t pay for your top college. Guess you’ll have to go to a UC..then things happened.
Basically I was trained to put everyone else first and be Pleasing, with no idea how this would translate into a career.
You might say my dad trained me to be his emotional support animal/whore for life if you were REALLY cynical.
Anyway. We need to do better by girls.
