Oh, my dear. I understand how you could think that. I also partly agree with you that girls should be warned starting from a young age that male violence will be part of our lives. Girls shouldn’t be surprised by things like flashers or sexual harassment that in reality are simply unfortunate parts of our world as is. However, it absolutely does not have to be this way. Most societies in our world today are patriarchal, largely because patriarchal societies tend to also be imperialist and so they colonize other societies near them. But societies that are organized differently, like certain tribal cultures, are absolutely not like this. There is hope for humanity.
