Plenty of men are happy to fight patriarchy, as long as they don't have to personally give anything up.

In my experience, there are two types of male feminists. There's the man who is fairly well adjusted, who appreciates women and our contributions, who wants equality because he sees how it benefits himself.

Then there is the male "feminist" who resents the way he himself has been brushed aside to benefit other, stronger men, who hopes feminism will be his ticket to further and easier competitive success over men he sees as unworthy of the successes they have earned.

These men are classist, in my experience. They hate working-class men and men who earn their way through working-class values like honor, decency, self-respect, discipline, and hard work. They want to beat these men through the theory of feminism, not its practice.

"Nice men." Right?
