Really got a lot out of this piece. I internalized the idea I was ugly and didn’t realize I was actually very beautiful as a child and teenager. I tend to be very skeptical of men who find me attractive now. It’s a lot of responsibility to be beautiful as a woman. I’m not sure I want that responsibility.
