Recent stay in Maine. Host tried to force me to be off the property for two days straight so she could do construction on my parking space. Host yelled at me for essentially being on property too often during my stay, despite having been informed both verbally and in writing that I was explicitly there to rest following a flare of my chronic illness.
When the internet went down for the second time in two weeks, I complained to AirBnb and left.
I complained to AirBnb that the host had been discriminatory towards me as a disabled person. They concluded that she had. They issued a warning.
I received no refund.
The host then went after me for a series of made up charges, everything from a spot of tomato sauce on the power strip to claiming I broke the 1980s-era laundry machine (5 days before anyone discovered it broken).
I’m never using AirBnb again.
