She’s a Black woman. I’m biracial but she doesn’t know that (because it’s none of her business. Like my disability.)
I think ableist, yeah. I wish it was taken more seriously. It’s a form of oppression—and connected to all others. Talking to my Black friend (wait for it) today and she was describing her allergies, her asthma, her “sun allergy” and I was like, honey, you have lupus though? It’s just not dx’d because you’re Black?
As someone with a connective tissue disease like..,that’s lupus?
